Sample Game of Mow 'Em Down with Three Players:  Yellow, Red, and Blue
The table is set, the cards and tiles are shuffled, and each player has received their starting cash of $4000, their two mowers, and their four bid tokens.  The three players roll to see who the starting player is.  Red rolls the highest and therefore begins.

Red: Since this is the first round and no contracts have been won, there are no earnings to be received.  The Red player rolls the die to determine the size of contract to be acted on for her turn.  She rolls a 3 (1,2, or 3 = act on a SMALL tile), and because there are no tiles in play yet, the only option she has is to BUILD onto the city.  She draws the topmost SMALL tile and places it in the middle of the table.  This is the end of Red's turn; she passes the die to the Blue player.

Blue: The Blue player rolls a 4 (4 or 5 = act on a MEDIUM tile), and he must also choose the BUILD option because there are no MEDIUM tiles in play yet.  He draws the topmost MEDIUM tile and places it next to the SMALL tile already on the table, matching the roads to each other.  This is the end of Blue's turn; he passes the die to the Yellow player.

Yellow: The Yellow player rolls a 2 and decides it is time to start bidding on contracts.  Because he rolled a 2, only the small tile on the table is able to be chosen.  Placing the #1 Flag tile on top of the SMALL tile, he announces that the SMALL tile on the table is open for BIDS.  All three players open their dry erase markers and write their bids on one of their bid tokens.  The bids are made in $100 increments between the range of $200 and $2000 because a 2 was rolled on the die.  After the Yellow player feels everyone has had a fair amount of time to write their bids, he announces a short countdown and the bidding is closed.  The players reveal their bids:  Yellow - $1500, Red - $1100, Blue - $1600.  Since Red is the lowest bidder, she wins this contract.  She removes the #1 flag from the tile and places her $1100 bid token onto the tile, signaling her ownership of the contract.  Red also moves her earnings token up to $1100 on the earnings tracker.  This is the end of Yellow's turn; he passes the die to the Red player.

Red: It is Red's turn again.  Because her earnings token now rests on the $1100 spot on the earnings tracker, she receives $1100 at the beginning of her turn.  She rolls the die, and it comes up as another 4.  Instead of opening bids on the MEDIUM tile on the table, she decides to BUILD onto the city.  She draws the topmost MEDIUM tile and adds it to the two tiles on the table; this time choosing to match the greenspaces.  This is the end of Red's turn; she passes the die to the Blue player.

Blue: The Blue player rolls the die and it comes up as a 5.  He decides to open bids on BOTH of the MEDIUM tiles.  Placing the #1 and #2 flags on the two MEDIUM tiles, he announces that the two tiles are open for bids.  MEDIUM tiles require the winner to place two bid tokens on the tile; thererfore, both the Blue Player and the Yellow player can bid on both tiles.  They do this by writting a small #1 and #2 at the top of their bid tokens above the dollar amounts of their bids.  (They each leave their other two tokens blank.)  Since the Red player has already won a contract, she only has three bid tokens in her company; therefore, she not eligible to bid on both and must choose to bid on #1 or #2.  The players record their bids.  After the Blue player gives a fair amount of time for all bids to be recorded and gives a short countdown, the players reveal their bids, starting with the tile flagged as #1:  Blue - $2900, Yellow - $2400, Red - NO BID.  Yellow wins, places his $2400 bid token and one extra bid token onto the tile, and moves his tracking token to $2400 on the earnings tracker.  Now the players reveal their bids for the #2 flagged tile:  Blue - $3000, Yellow - $2500, Red - $2100.  Red wins, places her $2100 bid token and one extra bid token onto the time, and moves her tracking token to $3200 ($1100 + $2100) on the earnings tracker.  This is the end of the Blue player's turn; he passes the die to the Yellow player.

Yellow: The Yellow player receives $2400 because his earnings token now rests on the $2400 spot.  He rolls a 6 (6 = act on a LARGE tile) and draws the topmost LARGE tile to add to the city.  This is the end of the Yellow player's turn; he passes the die to the Red player.

Red: The Red player now receives $3200, bringing her cash total to $8300 ($4000 - start, $1100 - second turn, and $3200 this turn).  Once she has $12,000 she can buy a third lawn mower.  She rolls a 1 and decides to BUILD.  (Her other choice is to BOOT, but she has no desire to BOOT her own contract at this time.)  She draws the topmost tile and adds it to the city.  By doing so, she is able to complete a lake with this tile and the medium tile on which the Yellow player has a contract.  The Red player wins a $2000 bonus and the Yellow player wins a $1000 bonus for the completed lake.  This is the end of the Red player's turn; she passes the die to the Blue player.

Blue: The Blue player still has not won a contract, so he does not earn any income this turn..  He rolls the die and gets a 6!  This is great news for him because he is the only player eligible to bid on the LARGE contract and can therefore write the maximum amount of $6000 on his bid token and win the contract.  This is exactly what he dows.  He places his $6000 bid token along with the other three bid tokens onto the LARGE tile.  He also moves his earnings token to the $6000 spot.  This is the end of the Blue player's turn; he passes the die to the Yellow player.

Yellow: The Yellow player receives another $2400, bringing his cash total to $8800 ($4000 - start, $2400 - second turn, and $2400 this turn).  He rolls a 4 and decides to BOOT the Red player off of her her MEDIUM contract.  He removes the Red player's tokens off of the tile and gives them back to the Red player.  Because the Red player has received earnings off of this contract for at least one turn, she does not receive a payout for this BOOTED contract.  The Red player's earnings token is moved back to the $1100 spot (because she still has the $1100 SMALL contract).  The Yellow player must now draw an EVENT CARD for BOOTING a contract and follow its instructions.  Fortunately for the Yellow player, the card has good news:  he receives a $1000 discount on the next lawn mower that he purchases.

Play continues until all of the tiles have been drawn, until all of the lawn mowers have been purchased, or until all of a player's bid tokens have been acquired.
